Friday June 9, 2006 a Historical Marker was dedicated marking the Gravesite of Anton Hoelscher Sr. (GPS 29.851156, -96.678233)
The Hoelscher- Buxkemper Family Association provided the funds and with work of the committee of Leonard Buxkemper, Henry Hoelscher, Jr., Doris Voltin, and Carolyn Meiners Heinsohn it became a reality. This marker was stolen a few years after it was placed and never recovered.
Directions to Gravesite: From Ellinger on FM 2503 about 6 miles turn left on Wechecta Road, travel about 2 miles and Historical Marker will be on the right. Actual Grave Stone is on private property up the hill.
